Publisher Description
The Gidjit app brings simplicity, organization, and convenience to your life by allowing you to use your environment as a way to organize, control, and launch apps and actions. Gidjit also works great with beacons. Trigger HomeKit and SmartThings scenes/routines as you enter or exit a beacon region. You can even add reminders. Actions include controlling a Smart Home Device (HomeKit, Nest, SmartThings), trigger a Smart Home scene/routine, viewing the latest News, Blogs, or Sports Feed, playing a Podcast or Music, display a Contacts shortcut (Call, Text, Facetime, Email), and more. Apps include the built-in iOS apps (News, iTunes, Photos, etc.) as well as apps found on the App Store. How it works: Users assign apps and actions to "Panels" which can be set to display and hide based on: Your proximity to a Location (House, Office, Gym, etc.), Your proximity to a Gidjit Beacon (sold at shop.gidjit.com), When a specific Bluetooth Device is detected, A specified Time of Day, Connected to a specified Wi-Fi Network, or Based on Motion/Activity (Running/Driving). Example 1 (Location): You create a Panel that will be detected in the Gidjit app when you arrive at the Office. You can then quickly access all of the apps and actions you associate with your office such as task management apps, control specific smart devices, launch home security app, launch pre-configured emails or work contacts, launch podcast episodes, and more. When you leave the office the panel will hide and will reappear when you return. Example 2 (Gidjit Beacons): You place Gidjit Beacons (shop.gidjit.com) in the different rooms of your house. You can then associate apps and actions you wish to associate with each room. As you change rooms, the Gidjit app will adapt. Auto-trigger Smart Home scenes by entering/exiting a room. Create alerts/reminders that you receive when you enter/exit a room. Example 3 (Bluetooth Device): When you turn on your Bluetooth headphones, a Panel will appear in the Gidjit app and you can quickly launch your music, fitness app, audible, or other apps and actions you would like to associate with those Bluetooth headphones. Key Features: 3D Touch: Apps and actions can be launched using 3D Touch which also includes an expanded details window that displays the actions of your current beacon region. QuickView Widget: Launch actions from the QuickView widget located in the Search Screen (Swipe Right iOS10). Beacon Region Monitoring: Now you can configure HomeKit Scenes to trigger automatically based on a time of day and as you enter and/or exit a Gidjit Beacons range (sold at shop.gidjit.com). Reminders/Alerts: Receive notifications as you enter or leave a Gidjit Beacons region. For example, place a Gidjit Beacon in your luggage. As it arrives in baggage claim you will receive a notification.
